Getting started
How do I get started with CureCollab?
Create your account using only your email address — your name is never shared with researchers. After you review and accept the Critical Consent Protocol, securely connect your records through MyChart (Epic), Oracle Health (coming soon), or our other supported networks. You qualify for payments in two ways: Community Dividend (a share of collective licensing revenue) and Cohort Payouts (direct payments when your profile matches a targeted research study).
What is the consent process?
CureCollab uses a Digital Click-Through Consent model. Your click-through serves as a legally binding acceptance of our Data Representation and Licensing Agreement. We maintain a secure, time-stamped digital record of your consent. You can revoke your consent at any time by deleting your account.
Is there a cost to join?
No, joining CureCollab is completely free. You earn Credits and are paid in U.S. dollars when your data is used in funded research.
How I earn
How do I get paid?
You are compensated in U.S. dollars through two payout channels: Community Dividend (20% of every licensing deal distributed to all active contributors) and Cohort Payouts (50% paid directly to contributors whose data was licensed for that study). 30% is retained by CureCollab for infrastructure.
What is the Evidence Ladder?
The Evidence Ladder ranks data types by clinical confidence: Codes/Medications → Clinical Notes → Labs → Imaging → Pathology. Higher positions indicate stronger datasets and increase both demand and frequency of use in sponsored research.
Data & privacy
How is my data protected?
Your data is protected with end-to-end encryption. Your MyChart login credentials are never shared with or stored by CureCollab. Health data is labeled only with a CureCollab ID. Personal information is stored separately and used only for payments.
Can I revoke consent?
Yes. You can revoke your consent at any time by deleting your account. This immediately terminates CureCollab's authority to license your data in future projects.
How is CureCollab different from my hospital selling my data?
Three ways: First, you choose to participate — hospitals can strip your name and sell without asking. Second, you get paid — hospitals keep the revenue. Third, you can leave — with CureCollab, you revoke consent at any time.

Who can become a research partner?
Pharmaceutical & biotech companies, Healthcare AI & LLM developers, Academic research institutions, Clinical research organizations, Foundations & non-profits, and Public health agencies. Access is limited to verified, reputable entities only.
